THE STORY
Between Greece and Australia.
An olive grove in Roupaki, Peloponnese—planted by Eva’s great-grandparents— over a century ago, has been lovingly cared for generations, its oil made for family, memory, and tradition rather than trade. Rooted in simple, organic practices, it carries the quiet rhythms of village life and seasons past. Now living between Greece and Sydney, Eva brings this heritage olive oil with her, preserving a piece of home across continents. Through her son, Leonidas, the story continues—linking past and present in something both deeply personal and enduring.

Our values
For over three decades, we have partnered with a close network of small, trusted farmers who understand the rhythms of the land and care for it with patience and intention. Then, we rely entirely on natural rainfall and the gentle balance of the Mediterranean climate, allowing crops to grow at their own pace without the use of synthetic fertilizers, irrigation systems, or artificial intervention. By working in harmony with nature rather than trying to control it, we help preserve the natural structure and fertility of the soil. This method encourages a thriving ecosystem—supporting beneficial insects, native plants, and overall biodiversity—while protecting the land for future generations.
THE OLIVE
Koroneiki, the Greek queen of olives
Koroneiki olives are the most prized olive variety in Greece. Small fruit, low yield, and an exceptional capacity for polyphenol concentration. Our grove sits in Roupaki, in the Peloponnese, a region whose soil, climate and ancient groves have made it one of the finest places on earth to grow this variety. We harvest early, before full ripeness, to maximise flavour and polyphenols. Nothing added. Nothing adjusted.

Ethical practices and sustainability
Leonidas Grove is defined by thoughtful craftsmanship. Each bottle is handmade in Italy using antique dark green glass to protect the oil. It is packaged in recyclable materials. It is finished with sustainably produced water silk-screen labels from a small Athens workshop. The result reflects a balance of heritage, quality, and low-impact production.

Why a bull?
The bottle features a Minoan bull, an ancient Greek symbol of prosperity and fertility. It is illustrated by Eva’s mother. It shows Eva’s son Leonidas riding it as a representation of his journey from Greece to Australia and his future strength.
